Winter Wonderland

i wonder how it feels like now if i'm wrapped in fleece and feet warmly covered by fluffy socks and tough leather boots, trampling through the winter wonderland.

Irony... sigh. I wish I could be immersed in a snowy winter wonderland when I am in a sunny wonderland. i remembered how much i wanted a warm Christmas when i was wrapped in the thick scarf...

Yes, it's the time of the year again! The season of wonderful lights, the season of giving and receiving, the time when toffeenut latte re-appears in the starry Starbucks.

I miss my friends at such a time. I wonder what everyone's doing at this point in time. We are so far apart and i miss u so. I wish we could gather. I wish i could be over to all my friends' home. Virtual friends. I've accumulated so many of them, and will be having more.

Nevertheless, I thank God for such a beautiful season, a season that brings Hope, a season that brings Life, a season that brings Joy. Thank you for your greatest gift- Jesus.

My Vacation

wow. ten days flew by so quickly. i'm back.

Weather in Taiwan and Hong Kong are great! Feels like walking in huge air-conditioned room all day. We traveled so much in this trip. Short visits in every big city. Went to many night markets and ate soooo much as we shopped.

Met up with family friends in Kao Shiong. I think that's the part of the trip i enjoyed most! haha. Meeting up with nice good friends is really enjoyable and meaningful.

Taiwan- truly just sightseeing. Getting to know some historical backgrounds and geography of the land. Good to know more about other countries! Enjoyed the sceneries. Loved the feeling of being surrounded by mountains all the time. Beautiful.

Hong Kong- shop, buy, eat. Just like Hong Kong's tourism board's tagline "shop & eat". There was nothing else to do there!! The shopping was good. Lots of variety and things are cheaper there. I guessed i would have enjoyed more if their service can be improved! Food was ok. However, I still prefer our own dim sum and roast pork in singapore! hahaa.. At least we wouldnt be screamed at if we were too slow or fast in placing our orders! sigh.

Vacations are always good. A break from the norm. Stragely in this trip, I find myself missing home as i travel. Maybe it's the fatigueness of shopping and getting up early. Anywayz, glad to be back. =)
